About Us.

We are an urban practice servicing the population of Mt Wellington and its surrounding suburbs. We aim to provide the highest quality and affordable healthcare in an environment where people feel comfortable, valued and respected.

  • We prefer to see patients by appointment but are able to see patients urgently if needed.

Meet the Doctors.

Jim trained at Auckland Medical School graduating in 1985. He then worked in Paediatrics and Obstetrics both in N.Z. and then UK. On returning to NZ, he completed the GP Training Programme and has been in General Practice since 1990, establishing this practice in 1993. He really enjoys working alongside patients and helping them with a wide variety of health needs. He is passionate about providing quality healthcare in the community and is always striving to improve the service the practice offers to our patients. "It is a privilege to be involved with families over a long period and frequently over a number of generations".

Dr Jim Kriechbaum

Martin was born in Malaysia, trained at Auckland Medical School and graduated in 1996. He then worked at various hospitals in Auckland for 3 years. Following that, he completed the GP Registrar programme over a year and has been in General Practice since. Martin joined the practice in 2001.

Dr Martin Ng

Ruth trained at Auckland Medical School. Since completing the General Practice Training Programme in 1993, Ruth has worked in general practice including community women's health and high schools, and enjoys its diversity.

BSc, MBChB, Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Fellow of the Royal NZ College of General Practitioners.

Dr Ruth Lumsden

Soshamma graduated from CMC Vellore in India and then specialised in Dermatology with with a Diploma and an MD from Madras University. She spent 2 years in the UK as a Dermatology registrar working at the Leicester Royal Infirmary. She worked as a clinician and teacher in a medical college & hospital and had 27 published papers until she moved to NZ. She has worked as a General Practitioner in NZ since 2003, taking the PRIMEX exam in General Practice in 2004 and has completed her fellowship in 2007. Her special interests include Dermatology, Venereology and Women's Health.

Dr Soshamma George

Kirsty trained at Auckland Medical School, graduating in 2003. She worked in Auckland and Sydney, and spent time in Emergency Medicine before starting the General Practice Training Programme in 2007. She enjoys all aspects of family medicine.

Dr Kirsty Good

Janine trained at Otago Medical School and graduated in 1990. She completed the GP Training Programme in 1994 and then further studies in Public Health in 2004. She works part time at the practice and keeps busy with roles in a PHO and leading a charitable trust. She enjoys the variety her multiple roles provide and has special interest in quality improvement, long-term conditions, shared care, child health and e-health.

Dr Janine Bycroft

Andre graduated from Otago Medical School in 1990. He has worked as a GP in Auckland for over 20 years and enjoys the range of people and conditions we see. He is married with 5 children and his hobbies include post-graduate studies, gardening and reading history.

Dr Andre Peyroux

Hsin-Yao originally trained as a pharmacist and then completed his medical training in 2014. He enjoys the variety seen in general practice and working with patients to improve their knowledge about their medicines.

Dr Hsin-Yao Chang

Meet the Nurses.

Dianna is one of our experienced nurses, she joined the team in 2015 after graduating from the University of Auckland. She was raised in Korea, so she is also fluent in Korean. Her particular interest in mental health has recently led her to complete a mental health and addiction accreditation course. This increased skillset adds to the diversity of effective treatment options available at our practice.

Dianna Hur

Helen is our resident veteran nurse, who has been at the practice for over 20 years. She has grown to love her job and the many different aspects it involves. Her chief delight is caring for families over generations, as they continue to return to our practice.

Helen Harrison

Giovanna is one of our junior nurses, she joined the team after graduating from the University of Auckland in 2016. She loves nursing so much she that she has continued increasing her skillset after hours, by studying advanced Nursing at Auckland University of Technology. Her Samoan ancestry is a great source of pride, and it also means she can speak fluent Samoan. "Talofa Lava".

Giovanna Parker

Tara is our newest registered Nurse, but she has already been busy working in New Zealand for 7 years. She did her training in China as well, which means she can speak fluent Mandarin. Always true to her word, her professional motto is "at your service".

Meet the Office Team.

Lilah grew up in Mt Roskill. She joined the team in March 2017 after graduating from Manukau Institute of Technology with a Certificate in Business Administration. She has over 10 years experience in customer service, ranging from retail to call centers. She is Tongan and likes to spend her spare time with her children and family.

Lilah Tonga

Florina is chief of the admin team. She is the friendly face at the front counter as well as the master mind that keeps the office running when nobody is looking. "I look forward to seeing you when you next come to visit".
